Road to Recovery from Parkinsons Disease

Published by at 6:12 pm under road to recovery

I just received permission to post the following review of my new book, Road to Recovery from Parkinsons Disease :

It is a thrill for me to learn that Denise’s husband is getting quick relief from his symptoms from applying just a few of the suggestions offered in the book.

Robert Rodgers, Ph.D.
Parkinsons Recovery

Your book ROAD TO RECOVERY is a gold mine of information. Fortunately  you are a researcher without any attachment to a corporation or institution. This freedom gives you the chance to have a larger vision of what it takes to recover our health and wellness.

You really do a good job.  That is the way  we can change the world and bring a new paradigm.  We just start reading book.  After 4 days of applying a few of your suggestions, we already have results.  Thank you for new  hope for my husband and me.

Denise

Everything slows down with Parkinson’s disease. That includes swallowing. As a neurologist married to a speech-language pathologist who treats many homebound patients with PD, I’ve become aware of concerns as to choking, hydration, and nutrition. We’ve also become aware of a knowledge gap when it comes to swallowing problems. To help erase this gap, we have written a book that provides information that has been found to be helpful for persons with Parkinson’s. It’s called “SWALLOW SAFELY: How Swallowing Problems Threaten the Elderly and Others. A Caregiver’s Guide to Recognition, Treatment, and Prevention” by Roya Sayadi and Joel Herskowitz. It’s published by Inside/Outside Press 2010 and available through http://www.swallowsafely.com, also through Amazon.com (and electronically in Kindle and iBook formats). With all best wishes, Joel Herskowitz, M.D., Natick, Massachusetts.
