Aloha kakou ~
I am writing today to let you know about a special event for people who are interested in holistic healing and who want to deepen their commitment to their wellness journey. Are you one of these people? Do you know anyone who might benefit? Please help spread the news. An opportunity like this doesn’t come along very often.
I am so excited about the “Healing Holiday in Hawaii” that we’re planning for January, 2014. My dance with the symptoms of Parkinson’s accompanied by my penchant for travel have made me keenly aware of how beneficial a retreat on an island in the tropics can be especially when special supportive needs are considered. When the seeds for a joyous experience are sown, the nourishment provided by the elements of the retreat will cause the seeds to sprout forth and bloom. Creating such an environment is a goal for the “Healing Holiday in Hawaii”.
We are gathering a group of people who are actively walking a journey of wellness and who are interested in exploring holistic modalities. While initially we were focussed on the Parkinson’s community, we quickly realized that this retreat would be beneficial for ANYONE with any chronic condition (such as Parkinson’s, MS, Lyme, chronic fatigue, fibro-myalgia, etc.) and for those who love them.
This retreat will include programs on nutrition, daily exercise, voice work, and meditation. In addition we’ll visit sacred sites, commune with our cetacean friends, swim and relax at the beach. We will be practicing a powerfully effective form of qigong, led by Bianca Molle who became Parkinson’s symptoms-free after persistently practicing qigong. Her informative interview with Lilou Mace of “Juicy Living” can be viewed at:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAY6XmMxr48.
I’ll be offering daily classes in the alchemy of the voice that will include developing a meditation practice using the voice as the primary tool. Information on my work can be viewed at www.PartneringWithParkinsons.com.
For those of us who are encountering some bumps along the road, taking a “time out”, releasing and re-grouping can help us make pivotal changes when we return to our day-to-day lives. Over the many years of leading similar retreats, I’ve witnessed the profound effect they have on participants. Often their lives are forever changed in the best way.
If you are interested to attend, please email email@example.com or call 503-858-3004. I would love to answer your questions and facilitate your registration. Or register directly at http://www.partneringwithparkinsons.com/HealingHolidayinHawaii.html.
