I have now documented through Parkinsons Recovery over 120 natural therapies, methods and treatments that offer some degree of symptom relief. Quite frankly, I have been surprised at the number of options that have been documented by research studies that help. It comes down to the simple question of which treatment option is right for me? It may help someone else. Great. But will it help me?

The good news is that there are many natural options that  offer symptom relief.  The bad news is that the choice of which ones to pursue is overwhelming. While research studies report options help some people, but not everyone benefits. This makes the choices even more challenging and stressful.

One possibility is to contact health care professionals and your doctor to get their opinion. I am always happy to offer my opinion as well.  Of course, my opinion is just a guess as to what might be right for you and your body. Of course, soliciting the opinions of others can also create added stress because everyone seems to be suggesting something different for you to purse.

Given the above, I have a gold standard suggestion of how you can get the answers you need about which natural therapies to pursue. It is not to ask a person or a friend or a family member. It is simply to ask your own intuition what is the right course of action to pursue.

I have learned that we all know the right decisions to make, but we somehow falsely conclude that only a qualified health care professional has the “right” answers. Again, they certainly can offer helpful information, but no one other than yourself knows what would be the right choices for you.

How do you tap into your inner guidance and wisdom?  First, simply trust that you and your body know the choices that are best for you.  Then, set into motion a habit of meditating on answers to the questions you have about what action you should take.

Steps to Decide Which Treatment Option is Right for Me

  1. Write down the question you would like to be answered. For example,  I have learned therapy X helps some people. Will it help me? Should I pursue it?
  2. Play music that you  love that is calming and soothing to your soul.
  3. Simply wait for whatever insights or perspectives are revealed. You can close your eyes and meditate if that is familiar to you – or just sit and wait for the answer. Your intuition might instantly reveal the answer or it may take a few minutes.
  4. Write down the answer that comes through. It may be revealed through an image, a memory, a smell, a taste, or even words. Just wait and trust that the answer will be revealed.  Then, trust that the answer is always revealed when you simply trust your intuition rather than believing the answer should be revealed by an “expert” who knows nothing about your body.

Would  you like to be sure and cover all the possible options (since there are so many). They are revealed in my online course Rock Solid Walking.
