The Parkinsons Recovery survey results provide a surprising answer to the question – Is Parkinsons Degenerative? Respondents report how they have been feeling over the past year since the previous holiday season [better, same or worse] and what therapies have been useful in celebrating relief from symptoms.
A surprising number of respondents reported feeling the same or better over the previous year. If in fact Parkinsons disease is degenerative then we would expect that 100% of respondents would report feeling worse over the previous year. Results of the survey reveal that the answer to the question is clearly no. Parkinsons is not necessarily degenerative.
Most interesting is the wide range of therapies respondents reported to be helpful in celebrating relief from their symptoms. This is not surprising given the more than dozen factors researchers have discovered can contribute to the symptoms of Parkinsons.
It is not exclusively a problem with the lack of dopamine. More recent studies have actually found an overabundance of dopamine in persons diagnosed with Parkinsons, not a deficiency.
You are cordially invited to listen to a detailed listing of results that refute the universal belief that Parkinson’s is degenerative.
