Is a problematic symptom for you involve mobility challenges? Has rock solid walking become difficult? The new Vielight X – Plus 3 device may offer the support you need to transform wobbly walking to rock solid.
The Vielight X-Plus 3 device has four components: A head module, a body module and the nasal applicator. The information below was obtained from the Vielight.com website.
Head Module
The Head Module stimulates the cerebellum. Although the cerebellum accounts for approximately 10% of the brain’s volume, it has approximately 50% of all neurons in the brain.
The cerebellum is involved in the following functions:
Maintenance of balance and posture. The cerebellum is responsible for making postural adjustments to maintain balance. It modulates commands to motor neurons to compensate for shifts in body position or changes in load upon muscles.
Coordination of voluntary movements. Most movements are composed of different muscle groups acting together in a temporally coordinated fashion. One major function of the cerebellum is to coordinate the timing and force of these different muscle groups to produce fluid limb or body movements.
Motor learning. The cerebellum is important for motor learning. The cerebellum plays a major role in adapting and fine-tuning motor programs to make accurate movements through a trial-and-error process.
Body Module
Featured in a Vielight COVID-19 study, the body module can be used to stimulate the thymus gland to aid immune function and response. It can also be positioned over joints and certain body parts, such as the shoulder or knees, to provide anti-inflammatory relief.
Intranasal Applicator
The Intranasal Applicator is designed to improve oxygenation which leads to increased adenosine triphosphate (ATP) levels in various tissues.
Light energy absorbed by blood through the intranasal applicator leads to an increase in nitric oxide release.
Nitric oxide is one of the most important factors affecting microcirculation. This leads to increases in vasodilation which contributes to improved oxygen delivery to tissues.
Summary
I have no hesitation in recommending the X-Plus 3 Vielight device to be considered to address mobility challenges in particular. The company is so confident in their devices that they encourage users to use their devices for up to 6 months. If you do not receive the benefit you need, return the used device Vielight for a 80% refund.

Improvements in clinical signs of Parkinson’s disease using photobiomodulation: a prospective proof-of-concept study.Ann Liebert, Brian Bicknell, E-Liisa Laakso, Gillian Heller, Parastoo Jalilitabaei, Sharon Tilley, John Mitrofanis, Hosen Kiat
Abstract
Background: Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with no cure and few treatment options. Its incidence is increasing due to aging populations, longer disease duration and potentially as a COVID-19 sequela. Photobiomodulation (PBM) has been successfully used in animal models to reduce the signs of PD and to protect dopaminergic neurons.
Objective: To assess the effectiveness of PBM to mitigate clinical signs of PD in a prospective proof-of-concept study, using a combination of transcranial and remote treatment, in order to inform on best practice for a larger randomized placebo-controlled trial (RCT).
Methods: Twelve participants with idiopathic PD were recruited. Six were randomly chosen to begin 12 weeks of transcranial, intranasal, neck and abdominal PBM. The remaining 6 were waitlisted for 14 weeks before commencing the same treatment. After the 12-week treatment period, all participants were supplied with PBM devices to continue home treatment. Participants were assessed for mobility, fine motor skills, balance and cognition before treatment began, after 4 weeks of treatment, after 12 weeks of treatment and the end of the home treatment period. A Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test was used to assess treatment effectiveness at a significance level of 5%.
Results: Measures of mobility, cognition, dynamic balance and fine motor skill were significantly improved (p < 0.05) with PBM treatment for 12 weeks and up to one year. Many individual improvements were above the minimal clinically important difference, the threshold judged to be meaningful for participants. Individual improvements varied but many continued for up to one year with sustained home treatment. There was a demonstrable Hawthorne Effect that was below the treatment effect. No side effects of the treatment were observed.
Conclusions: PBM was shown to be a safe and potentially effective treatment for a range of clinical signs and symptoms of PD. Improvements were maintained for as long as treatment continued, for up to one year in a neurodegenerative disease where decline is typically expected. Home treatment of PD by the person themselves or with the help of a carer might be an effective therapy option. The results of this study indicate that a large RCT is warranted.

2021 Jan 29;100(4):e24191 Effects of concomitant use of hydrogen water and photobiomodulation on Parkinson disease: A pilot study. Chien-Tai Hong, Chaur-Jong Hu, Hung-Yu Lin, Dean Wu
Abstract
Background: Parkinson disease (PD), the second most common neurodegenerative disease, has no cure or applicable disease-modifying approach, only symptomatic therapy. Oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction play key roles in PD pathophysiology. Animal studies have demonstrated that photobiomodulation (PBM) may enhance mitochondrial function and boost adenosine triphosphate production, thus alleviating PD symptoms; however, this process can cause increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Molecular hydrogen (H2) is a potent and possibly therapeutic antioxidant that can mitigate the effect of ROS. PBM targeting the brainstem may facilitate neuronal activity, and the concomitant H2 may clear additional ROS produced by PBM. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the safety and effectiveness of PBM + H2 in patients with PD.
Methods: We included 18 patients with PD (age 30-80 years) who were at Hoehn and Yahr stages II-III. All the participants received daily PBM + H2 therapy for 2 weeks. The adverse event and the Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) scores were recorded.
Results: We noted that the UPDRS scores began significantly decreasing from the first week, and this improvement persisted until the end of therapy. Moreover, no adverse event was recorded. After 1 week of therapy cessation, UPDRS scores slightly increased but the improvement remained significant compared with the baseline.
Conclusion: This novel, proof-of-concept study demonstrated that PBM+H2 therapy is safe and reduces disease severity. A larger-scaled clinical trial is warranted to completely investigate the effects of PBM + H2 therapy on PD.

The effect of light exposure on insomnia and nocturnal movement in Parkinson’s disease: an open label, retrospective, longitudinal study.Jessica K Martino, Christopher B Freelance, Gregory L Willis
Abstract
Insomnia, hypersomnia and REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RSBD) during sleep are major problems for patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease (PD) but they are also used to predict its onset. While these secondary symptoms detract from the quality of life in PD patients, few treatment options are available due to limited efficacy or risk of complicating the treatment regimen. Light therapy (LT) has been suggested as a strategy for sleep disorders but it has only been implemented recently for use in PD. An open label, retrospective study was undertaken where PD patients had been undergoing LT, using polychromatic light, for four months to 15 years prior. It was found that 1 h exposure to light, just prior to retiring, significantly improved insomnia and reduced RSBD in as little as one month after commencing LT. In addition, the improvement was maintained as long as LT was continued over a four to six year period. The efficacy of LT in alleviating these sleep related conditions was not compromised by time since diagnosis or age of the patient. These results intimate the value of long term application of non-invasive techniques such as LT for treating sleep disorders in PD and justify further controlled trials on the long term efficacy of LT.

Photobiomodulation for the aging brain. Fabrízio Dos Santos Cardoso, F Gonzalez-Lima, Sérgio Gomes da Silva
Abstract
Longevity is one of the great triumphs of humanity. Worldwide, the elderly is the fastest growing segment of the population. As a consequence, the number of cases of age-related cognitive decline and neurological diseases associated with aging, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, has been increasing. Among the non-pharmacological interventions studied for the treatment or prevention of age-related neurocognitive impairment, photobiomodulation (PBM) has gained prominence for its beneficial effects on brain functions relevant to aging brains. In animal models, the neuroprotective and neuromodulatory capacity of PBM has been observed. Studies using both animals and humans have shown promising metabolic and hemodynamic effects of PBM on the brain, such as improved mitochondrial and vascular functions. Studies in humans have shown that PBM can improve electrophysiological activity and cognitive functions such as attention, learning, memory and mood in older people. In this paper we will review the main brain effects of PBM during aging, discuss its mechanisms of action relevant to the aging brain, and call for more controlled studies in older populations.
Many people hold the belief that Parkinsons disease is degenerative. With this expectation, a person is destined to be worse off year after year. Is Parkinsons disease degenerative? That is clearly what most people diagnosed with Parkinson’s believe.
Every holiday season, Parkinsons Recovery sponsors a survey to determine whether or not persons diagnosed with Parkinsons do in fact continue to deteriorate year after year. The 2022 survey asked respondents to answer the question:
“Since the holiday season one year ago, have you been generally feeling better, the same or worse?”
If it is in fact true that Parkinsons disease is “degenerative,” 100% of individuals responding to the 2022 Parkinsons Recovery survey will report they were worse off. No one would report they were better. No one would report they were the same.
In stark contrast to the expectation that Parkinsons disease is “degenerative”, seventy two percent (72%) of persons who answered this question reported they were either feeling better or the same. Of the 72% of respondents who reported they were either feeling the same or better, thirty-two percent (32%) reported that they were better.
Previous Parkinsons Recovery surveys found 65% of respondents has been feeling either better or the same. When we cumulate results from previous years, we find the following:
Cumulative Results: All Survey Years
HAVE YOU BEEN FEELING:
NUMBER OF ANSWERS
PERCENT
1027
100%
BETTER
247
24%
ABOUT THE SAME
422
41%
WORSE
358
35%
Results for the most recent survey show a modest increase in the number of persons reporting they were doing better when considering results for all years (i.e.: 32% versus 24%).
You might well believe that when a person reports they are the “same” it always means they continued to struggle with the same troublesome symptoms over the previous year and thus did not report feeling better or worse. This is certainly the experience for some respondents.
Other respondents who reported they were “doing the same” over the previous year were actually doing quite well overall (not poorly). When a respondent reports “about the same” it does not mean necessarily that their symptoms are problematic.
We also know that none of us are accurate trackers of our personal health. When ask about our health it is not uncommon for any of us to report we have been about the same over the previous year when in reality our health improved. For this reason our results are conservative estimates.
Summary
While a majority of persons diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease hold he belief that their condition is degenerative, these survey results clearly indicate this false belief is misguided. Yes – some people do “deteriorate”. Our results estimate approximately one-third of persons we surveyed fall into this category. The vast majority of the individuals who responded to the Parkinsons Recovery annual survey report they were either doing better or the same.
Is it really possible to recovery from a diagnosis of Parkinson’s? Results of the Parkinsons Recovery show the answer is yes.
Members of my audience have been telling me that singing strengthens and supports the ability to talk loudly and clearly. The news link below provides a brief preview of a choir composed of persons currently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
If you are thinking this is not an option you can seriously entertain because you are not now and have never been a singer, think again. Singing offers an opportunity to strengthen speech whether you are a singer or not!
The good news is that dozens of natural therapies offer relief from Parkinson’s symptoms. When I launched my search in 2004, I thought there would be a handful. How wrong I was!
The bad news is that the multitude of options have created serious problems for people searching for solutions to their symptoms. It is nearly impossible to wade through the 270 replays of my radio show interviews to find therapies that can help, much less the hundreds of posts on my blog.
Many people begin a search for solutions to their symptoms but are overwhelmed by the massive body of resources I have created.
I have now solved this problem by creating a series of online courses focused on specific symptoms and themes. Instant access to the content is available when you register.
Visit the Parkinsons Recovery page listed below for information about each online course.
Here is an awesome suggestion from a member of my audience.
I recently started taking at bedtime:
1capsule of Magnesium Citrate, 1 capsule mucuna 1 capsule Bosweliia extract
I was diagnosed with PD in 2013 and I know what off means, and it is how I usually wake up. But with these capsules, I wake up almost like my old self. It is truly remarkable.
I would be interested to know if there is some way to share this with others.
If you have some enthusiastic members with open minds, this might help a lot of sufferers.
Many members of my audience report that using the Vielight.com photobiomodulation devices offers symptom relief. The company generously offers a 10% coupon code you can enter into their shopping cart to claim a 10% discount on all their devices. The Vielight coupon code is: healing4me.
Will only one Parkinson’s natural therapy work the magic to reverse symptoms associated with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease?
In a handful of cases, I have documented cases where an individual diagnosed with Parkinson’s found that a single approach succeeded in reversing their symptoms. The therapy involved healing an infection – either from a root canal or an infection like candida.
When I analyze results of the annual Parkinsons Recovery Survey, people who report they were feeling better over the previous year report using an average of four natural therapies. The bottom line is that most success stories involve a commitment to embrace a combination of natural therapies that help people get a handle on issues associated with the diagnosis involving toxins, anxiety and stress.
The other compelling result of the Parkinsons Recovery survey this year is the surprising spread of natural therapies reported to have been useful in reversing symptoms associated with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. What is a successful therapy for one person may not be successful for another.
The therapies generally fall into two general categories:
Movement which includes all forms of exercise
A wide range of natural therapies that calm the nervous system and support the functionality of the parasympathetic system.
In most cases, implementation of only one among the many Parkinson’s natural therapies that have helped other persons does not necessarily lead to a reversal of your symptoms.
The choices of natural possibilities is wide. Experimentation is needed to discover which of the many Parkinson’s natural therapies will work the magic for you. What may succeed for a friend who experiences similar symptoms may not necessarily be the best solution for you.
Everyone is indeed different! The good news is that there are many Parkinson’s natural therapies have helped people celebrate a reverse of their own symptoms. Set the intention to find the ones that will work the magic for you.
Many people ask me the following: What is the best Parkinson’s diet? Here is my answer after researching this issue now for over a decade.
Reports of Best Parkinson’s Diet Choices that have been helping persons with Parkinson’s Symptoms feel better
The following is a listing reported by respondents on the annual Parkinsons Recovery Survey of dietary choices that helped them celebrate relief from Parkinson’s symptoms during 2021. No one approach floated to the top of the list as the most useful diet. Take note of the variety of diets that are listed!
It makes perfect sense to me that different diets will be appropriate for different people depending on their metabolism, blood type, genes, DNA and other factors. The challenge for those of you traveling down the road to recovery is to find and embrace the diet that will make it possible for you to celebrate relief from your symptoms. Here is the list. There are other diets certainly that were not reported but may be ideal for you and your body.
Listed below are responses from respondents to the 2021 Parkinsons Recovery Survey who reported natural therapies to reverse Parkinson’s symptoms.
Listed below are the top 10 therapies rank ordered from most to least useful in terms of the most frequently reported useful therapies. Please take note of the finding that exercise ranks at the top of the list!
Exercise
Medication
Diet
Meditation
Physical Therapy
QiGong
Photobiomodulation (light therapy)
Massage
Probiotics
Avoidance of Stress
Below – the columns (worse, same, better) indicate whether the respondent reported they were feeling worse, about the same or better over the past year. Keep in mind that respondents usually reported more than one therapy to be useful.
Listing of Natural Therapies to Reverse Parkinson’s Symptoms
Most people buy into the belief that once diagnosed, the Parkinson’s prognosis is that you are destined to get worse.
No hope.
No chance of recovery.
No chance to get your life back.
No wonder so many people are depressed!
But …. Is this really true? Everyone in the medical community claims it to be true, but I ask you, what evidence do they provide to support their depressing claim you will inevitably get worse? I have seen no evidence.
I have now provided compelling evidence for the past decade that the belief Parkinson’s is degenerative is false. People do recover. People do get their life back. Symptoms can be reversed.
In my holiday survey I ask the question: over the past year since the last holiday season, have you been feeling better, about the same or worse? There are three choices.
If the claim Parkinson’s is degenerative is true, 100% of the respondents to my survey would report they are worse. This is not the result reported this year or any of the past years of my survey. This year, as in past years, two thirds of respondents (66%) report that they have either been better or about the same.
People diagnosed with Parkinson’s have found ways to reverse their symptoms or at a minimum not get worse. They also elect to embrace a wide variety of natural therapies.
Many people ask me what is the one therapy they should embrace to reverse their symptoms. When the success stories of people who have reversed their symptoms are examined, there is no single successful therapy that works for all persons other than the strong and compelling belief that recovery is possible for anyone.
Despite frustrations and roadblocks, know that in your heart, mind and soul that recovery is possible. Make your Parkinson’s prognosis a positive one.
It would seem the delta variant of Covid is responsible for spreading the
disease more quickly that the original Covid 19. What can you do if you are infected with either virus?
Of course, check with your medical doctor immediately. I am not a medical doctor, but I wanted you to know what my own doctor recommended if I or a member of my family is infected.
Anti-histamines Help Knock Out the Delta Variant of Covid
My own doctor recommended that I take antihistamines if infected with the Delta Variant of the corona virus. There are a variety of over the counter options. My naturopath has some high quality anti-histamine options which I decided to order in case someone in my family is infected. I recommend you check with your own doctor about natural alternatives that might recommend or have available.
Changing your diet should also help. Incorporate fresh foods like fruits and vegetables, fresh meat seafood, and whole grains. I found this listing of foods on the internet that contain high histamines which should be avoided:
Fermented dairy products, such as cheese (especially aged), yogurt, sour cream, buttermilk, and kefir.
Fermented vegetables, such as sauerkraut and kimchi.
Pickles or pickled veggies.
kombucha.
cured or fermented meats, such as sausages, salami, and fermented ham.
Summary
If you get infected with the Corona 19 virus or any of its spin offs, my doctor tells me taking anti-histamines and changing your diet can offer welcome relief from your symptoms. She said any over the counter anti-histamine product would likely help offer symptom relief. Most naturopaths have high quality anti-histamine supplements available, so no matter what, be sure and check with your doctor about any specific options they recommend.
John Coleman’s new book, Rethinking Parkinson’s Disease, is to date the most thorough exploration of the etiological pathways (causes) leading to diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease or similar neuro disorders.
This is the replay of my interview with John on Parkinsons Recovery radio last Saturday
John explains how and why trauma, toxins and stealth infections create symptoms diagnosed as a “disease” such as Parkinson’s and responds to a number of questions submitted by listeners of Parkinsons Recovery Radio.
A surprising number of persons diagnosed with Parkinson’s have spent their entire life caretaking others rather than taking care of themselves. Friends and family alike become familiar with the “always available and reliable” caretaker of the family who is too often you!
Since caretaking is such a huge issue for persons traveling down the road to recovery, here are critical rules of caretaking to always keep close to your chest.
Always – day in and day out – give to yourself the same care and attention that you give to others. This is the number one rule for a reason. Most caretakers violate it all the time.
You are not an endless resource for others to take advantage of anytime of the day or night. When you are not taking good care of yourself, you can be of little help to others. Why?
Your energy will deplete.
Your health will deteriorate.
You will resent taking care of others.
Your needs will be different from your family and friends.
You do not need to feel guilty about saying “no” to requests for assistance.
Taking time for unwinding is time well spent. How do you best unwind? (Note the question is not how should you unwind or how do others unwind.) What helps you relax, chill out and have fun? Do it.
Not occasionally.
Every day.
You are not being selfish by taking time every day for yourself and only yourself. If you do not take time out of every day for yourself, you will do a lousy job when you are caretaking family and friends.
In summary, once a caretaker, always a caretaker. The recommendation here is simple: Just be a top notch caretaker of yourself.
The big picture: Light Therapy has the potential to address constipation.
Parkinson’s symptoms originate in the gut.
Heal gut issues and symptoms will begin to resolve
Do you have constipation? The constipation must be reversed for you to get relief from symptoms. There are many potential remedies for constipation. Most therapies infuse the gut with one form of probiotics or another. Certain foods can also promote healthy bacteria in the gut.
Light therapy may also offer the possibility of infusing the gut with good bacteria. No need to take a probiotic supplement here!
Animal Studies find that light therapy promotes healthy bacteria in the gut. If this happens with animals, I am guessing humans will achieve similar results.
Many of you have been using the X-Plus Vielight light therapy to address symptoms such as memory impairment.. The class encourages you to apply the X-Plus on your gut once a day in addition to applying the light to your mid brain.
If you do not have an X-Plus device, information is available on the Vielight website: https://www.vielight.com.
If you decide to acquire one, be sure to tell the customer representative you are a Parkinsons Recovery member. The will apply a 10% discount. If you order the device from their website, the 10% discount will be applied on the shopping cart if you enter the coupon code healing4me.
The company gives you 6 months to try out their devices. If it does not offer symptom relief, you can always return the used product for an 80% refund. The risk is minimal.
Studies now conclusively demonstrate the importance to reduce exposure to EMFs. Electromagnetic fields – which we are all exposed to – causes a wide range of illnesses including neuro-degenerative conditions like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, autism, infertility, unwanted genetic mutations and even cancer. This is the health crisis of this century.
Most people do not take this problems seriously. Effects are not immediate nor are they felt by most people. They are cumulative.
EMF effects scramble the energy field which derails normal functions. Studies show that a modest exposure to smart phones clogs up blood cells. Blood transforms into cells that stick together like globs of jelly of different shapes//
Why is this a problem? Blood cells that stick together cannot pass through the small capillaries of the body which feed 75 percent of the cells. The size of the globs is too great to pass through the tiny passageways of capillaries.
Are you perplexed because your detox problem is not showing the results expected? There is no way toxins will be eliminated from the cells if your circulation cannot access them. One factor could well be your continuous exposure to EMFs.
In this video I emphasize one small step you can take to reduce EMF exposure from one source: your smart phone. Do not put the cell phone against your ear when you talk. Use headphones (not ear plugs and certainly not a blue tooth).
Dozens and dozens of natural therapies have been discovered that help reverse symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. I want you to know about several little known therapies in particular. You are invited to watch videos I prepared that explain them. To do so, click on the secure link below. Since 2004 I have been documenting natural therapies for Parkinson’s disease that offer relief from Parkinsons symptoms. These discoveries have inspired the following conclusions:
Dozens of natural therapies are effective in reversing Parkinsons symptoms
No therapy helps everyone.
This week I administered a survey asking members of my global audience to report what natural therapies offer relief from their symptoms. Results re-confirmed my conclusions:
There are a surprising number of natural therapies that offer relief.
No therapy helps everyone.
Everyone discovers a unique set of therapies that work for them.
One respondent from Australia reported they had not tried any natural therapies. Is this also the case for you?
May the following summary of responses serve as an inspiration to try one or more of the natural therapies reported in this Parkinsons Recovery Survey.
Responses to the Parkinsons Recovery September 2019 survey are reported next. Informational resources that relate to the therapies reported to have been helpful are also included in this post.

Vielight neuro. This seems to loosen deep congestion in my upper head. The X seems too strong _ at least for now.
Being around special friend(s) who support me. Personally I do best with one or 2 at a time
Click the arrow below to hear an interview with Vielight’s CEO and inventor Dr. Lew Lim who discusses his new X-Plus photobiomodulation device invention.
I want to make sure everyone knows about its availability in light of success with the previous Vielight Neuro Gamma device. First, I will offer a brief report on user’s experience with using the Neuro Gamma device which is why I am excited about Dr. Lim’s new invention – the X-Plus.
Neuro Gamma Device
Over seventy (70) members of my Parkinsons Recovery audience purchased and used
the Vielight Neuro Gamma device over the past year. The exciting news for me has been that it was one of the most frequently mentioned therapies reported to be helpful in responses to my 2018 Holiday Survey.
Vielight representatives tell me that only 1 out of 10 units were returned for an 80% refund. Nine out of ten users found the device to be beneficial. My conclusion: The Neuro Gamma has helped most – but not all users. Odds of success are clearly in your favor.
X-Plus
The new X-Plus Vielight device can be used in conjunction with the Neuro Gamma to irradiate the posterior brain with light. If you are already getting good results with using the Vielight Neuro Gamma device. consider using the X-Plus along with the Neuro Gamma. It just might provide a welcome boast to symptom relief.
The X-Plus can also be used as an independent device. The great news of the day is that the cost of the new X-Plus device is half the cost of the Neuro Gamma. It is listed as $749. The company has again agreed to offer members of Parkinsons Recovery a 10% discount on the X-Plus (as they did for the Neuro Gamma). To claim the discount enter the coupon code healing4me on the shopping cart. If you call in your order, simply tell the representative you are with Parkinsons Recovery.
I have no hesitation encouraging as many of you as possible to try the new X-Plus Device out. How come?
First, the Neuro Gamma has been a success. I am betting the X-Plus will follow suit. Dr. Lim is an amazing inventor.
Second, the company offers an 80% refund for any unit that is returned within six months of use. This gives you time to see if the therapy will prove helpful. The financial risk of trying it out is minimal since you are assured of getting 80% of your investment back.
More information about the new X-Plus Light Therapy device can be found on the Vielight website:
